I'm having trouble processing my order through your shopping cart.
Our new shopping cart is all about security for you, the customer. It has caused some confusion for some but it's really 9 simple steps. If you followed each step and your order can not be processed, it is likely your credit card declining or a problem with your PayPal account.
Are poppies illegal?
There are many specie of poppies and even more sub specie or cross bred hybrids of this flower. Only one specie is on the DEA controlled substance II list (meaning illegal for any purpose) and that is Papaver Somniferum. All our poppies are grown in the US by USDA certified growers. We do not knowingly stock the illegal Papaver Somniferum variety nor do we know exactly what type our growers provide us. Using our dried poppies for floral decoration or crafts is perfectly legal in all states.
What is your shipping method? How long does it take?
We ship exclusively with FedEx and USPS to anywhere in the US. Orders by FedEx Ground are delivered within 2 - 4 business days to most US destinations. We also offer, Standard Overnight or Saturday Delivery (not available in all areas). USPS offers Priority (2 - 4 days) and Express (1 - 2 days). Orders received after our cut off of 12 pm EST on Friday will be shipped the following Monday. Orders to PO Boxes must choose USPS Priority or Express Mail. FedEx does not ship to PO Boxes.
*Please note that USPS is only offered as a convenience to those you prefer it. We cannot guarantee their shipments because USPS is very difficult to settle lost or damaged claims with. If you require peace of mind, we always suggest using FedEx.
Do you accept payment by money order, check, bank draft or COD?
No. We currently only accept payment via Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal (including e-Check). Our past expereince with non-credit card orders have not been favorable. One out of every three orders by non credit cards were either fraudulent or cancelled before we could cash them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
What will appear on my credit card statement?
If paying via PayPal our credit card statement will show "CHEAPOPPIES". Direct credit card billings will show "PSC Distribution", our parent company.
Why do I have to provide a phone number or email address?
A phone number is important for our shipper in case they have problems delivering you package to you. By providing your email, it allows us to communicate quickly and cost effectively with you. It'll also allow us to send you updates on special promos only available to our current customers.
Why don't you take orders by telephone or fax?
Very few of our customers have requested ordering by telephone and fax. Not having a fancy toll free telephone number helps us keep costs low so that we can offer you the best poppies at the lowest prices on the Internet! We find e-mail is our best tool for communication with our customers and we respond to 90% of them within 24 hours. Many within a few hours!
My order arrived and it looks like there is some mold on the pods. How can I be sure?
Mold is generally not a problem with the dried pods we purchase from our supplier. Many customers confuse the occassional dark brown or black spots on the crowns of the pods as mold. A moldy pod is pale green/grey in color and will crumble when squeezed with little pressure.
